Rick has been working in the Hospitality Industry for over 30 years. He found his passion for restaurants early on, and began his career with Brinker International. As a Managing Partner for Chili’s, he opened multiple units and operated a certified training store that produced over 40 managers. He then took on dual roles with the Original Roadhouse Grill as their Director of Training and Area Director of the Southern California region.

After years in corporate restaurants, Rick brought his talents to the Z Restaurant Group as their Director of Operations and subsequently opened four units across the US. In 2008 he began working as a financial and operational consultant for Vine Solutions, a restaurant focused accounting firm with over 200 clients. Utilizing his P&L acumen, budgeting, forecasting and cost control expertise, he was able to assist fine restaurants such as Sam’s Chowder House, Wayfare Tavern, MacArthur Park, Pacific Catch and Hawk’s in improving their bottom lines.

Prior to joining the RealFood team, Rick served as Vice President of Operations for Patxi’s Pizza for 4 years. He grew the concept from 5 units at $9M in annual sales to 17 with over $40M in sales. Rick’s experience in successful openings, operational execution and establishment of training systems gives clients the support needed to create their restaurant vision.
