Chef Tim Maslow undertook the development of the Ribelle space to grow from the success he had from Strip T’s in Watertown, Ma. RealFood worked closely with the Chef and his architect to establish the open-design operating model. Tim wanted to create a seamless design from the dining room to the kitchen that would showcase the craft of the dining experience. RFC designed a unique culinary “stage” that was centered around a custom battery and a stone exhibition plating area and featured detailed elements designed specifically to accommodate Chef’s methods.
RFC worked closely with the general contractor to overcome significant mechanical challenges presented by the space. The team was able to develop creative solutions to avoid costly mechanical upgrades to the base building. The resulting restaurant space provides a highly efficient, well-equipped facility to enable Chef Maslow to deliver a highly distinctive dining experience. Ribelle opened to rave reviews and the first four star review from The Boston Globe since 2010 and extensive critical acclaim.
