Michael Staub, an independent business advisor, provides Real Food clients with financial and real estate expertise. He navigates restaurants and food service operators through pro forma and operational planning, giving them the right tools for launching, running, expanding, and restructuring their business.
Staub understands the intricacy of restaurant economics from both sides of the table. He is a former chef and restaurant/bakery owner. He also holds an MBA (from Boston College) and a real estate salesperson license, and has built a network of relationships with banks, developers, lawyers, insurance companies, accountants, and investors. Since starting his consultancy in the 1990s, has worked with dozens of high-profile restaurants, including L’Espalier, Craigie on Main, Kirkland Tap & Trotter, Bronwyn, Ribelle, and Commonwealth.
